Fentiman Road, London
At Box Capital Developments, we’re proud to be trusted time and again by returning clients. This project—a full renovation of a much-loved family home in West London—came following a successful restoration we had completed for the same client at their property in the Cotswolds.
After living in the house for over 30 years, the brief was clear: the client wanted the property to feel fresh, renewed, and ready for many more years of enjoyment—without losing the warmth and familiarity they’d come to love.

The Challenge:
This wasn’t about starting from scratch. It was about breathing new life into a home with history, gently modernising while retaining its charm. From internal fittings to exterior details, we aimed to elevate the house visually and practically, with subtle updates that made a big difference.

Our Approach:
Interior Enhancements:
-
We carried out a full refresh of the bathrooms, including regrouting, resealing with new silicone, updating taps, and replacing shower trays and screens for a sleek, more contemporary feel.
-
All cupboard doors were revived with updated mouldings, new handles, and careful restoration work. In key spaces, we designed and installed bespoke fitted alcove furniture to improve storage while blending seamlessly with the home’s original features.
-
The kitchen underwent a colour transformation, paired with updated hinges and knobs to give it a clean, modern aesthetic without the need for a full replacement.
-
The downstairs cloakroom was completely redesigned and wallpapered to bring a splash of character and sophistication to a small, often overlooked space.
External Works:
-
Both the front and rear elevations were repainted, instantly lifting the property’s appearance.
-
We restored every sash window, stripping them back and refitting with new weights and seals to ensure they now work as efficiently as they did when first installed.
-
The driveway and steps were rebuilt using a brighter, characterful stone, paired with new railings and hand-painted house numbers to elevate the kerb appeal and make the house stand out for all the right reasons.
Behind the Scenes:
-
We carefully reviewed and updated the electrical systems, removing obsolete wiring and improving safety and efficiency throughout the house.
-
Plumbing systems were updated where required to ensure long-term reliability and performance.

The Outcome:
The result is a beautifully refreshed townhouse that feels both familiar and revitalised. By focusing on detail, quality, and longevity, we were able to give this family home a whole new lease of life, ready to be enjoyed for the years ahead.
For Box Capital, this project reflects our passion for working with heritage homes and trusted clients—combining thoughtful design with smart construction to bring out the best in every space.
